Bernanke outlined steps the Fed is taking to improve the economy. Sec. Geithner explained how the financial reforms proposed by G20 members could impact the U.S. Also, A.G. Holder & Sec. Geithner announced a new financial fraud enforcement task force.

Congress & DoD Review Fort Hood Attack

Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Chair. Joe Liberman (D-CT) began his investigation into Maj. Nidal Hasan's shooting at Fort Hood military base. The hearing focused on the Army's ''warning signs'' policy and whether any other actions could have prevented the attack. Also, Defense Sec. Gates & JCS Chair. Adm. Mullen announced a review board to study the incident.
